Ysgol Llechryd

School Vision

Our vision…

Our vision is that all pupils have the opportunity to prosper regardless of their linguistic background, additional needs or barriers of deprivation. Our duty as a school is to promote the development of each pupil to be a shining star.

Our school is a family at the heart of our community. We celebrate our Welshness, language and culture and we are proud of each other’s success. We take advantage of every opportunity to promote respect, care, equality in our everyday lives and the children are encouraged to develop their self-esteem and self-confidence through rich, varied and challenging activities. We work together, as teachers, pupils, support staff, governors, parents and friends aiming for the same goal, which is to make Ysgol Llechryd a happy, lively, stimulating, caring, safe and welcoming community where every child experiences success and have a fair chance to flourish.

We will promote, develop and provide the pupils with appropriate skills for education and life.

Objectives:

  • Provide a broad and balanced curriculum to ensure that all children have the same opportunity and succeed to the best of their ability.
  • Promoting the development of independence and self-confidence which will enable the pupils to learn for themselves and develop their natural curiosity.
  • Provide an environment that will be rich, encouraging and challenging for the pupils.
  • Helping the pupils to grow into confident and responsible individuals of society while giving them the knowledge, attitudes and skills they will need in the future.
  • Develop into confident, bilingual individuals who can communicate and embrace all aspects of Welsh culture.
  • Foster an understanding of how we can develop into physically, socially and emotionally healthy individuals.
